Guided Tour | Spitalfields

Tuesday 20 November 2012 - 11:00 until 15:00

With our London Blue Guide, we will tour one of the most interesting areas in London: Spitalfields. Once home to the Huguenots, it became known for producing fine furniture, silver, and textiles. We will take a closer look at the historic Hugenot heritage still found amongst the silk merchants houses, and see how Georgian terraces now exist in harmony with modern architecture. We will also be visiting Hawksmoor's Christ Church, which maintains its reputation as England's finest Baroque church. Lunch will take place at the English Restaurant.

This event has been organised by a local supporter help group to raise money for the Art Fund.
