Splendours of Anglo-Saxon Jewellery

Anglo-Saxon art was highly varied, its characteristic forms including manuscripts, stonecarvings, ivories, metalwork and not least jewellery. One of the finest survivals of the period is the Sutton Hoo treasure, which will feature in this talk. Lloyd Laing is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Archaeology at the University of Nottingham.
