Please note this is NOT a ZOOM Lecture but an in person lecture. Tickets include a complimentary glass of Devil’s Botany Rose Absinthe. This talk presents a history of the Abbey from it’s founding by Crowley to its abandonment. It also covers the restoration of the murals by filmmaker Kenneth Anger, how it was adopted by modern occult movements such as Thee Temple Ov Psychick Youth in the 80’s and the current sad state of the building now and what it was like to film there. It’s a tale of Magick, sex, Mafia & movie making of the last 100 years of the building with the shadow of the Great Beast himself hovering over the Abbey. Gary Parsons is a filmmaker and MA graduate in film from Goldsmiths College London, his previous talks have been Witchcraft Documentaries Of The 1970’s & Aleister Crowley On Film.
