Coach visit: Sezincote House, Gloucestershire & Witley Court, Worcestershire

| Sezincote House & Witley Court

An opportunity to see Sezincote, one of the prettiest private family houses in Gloucestershire and, en route, to visit the spectacular ruins of Witley Court, the beautifully restored Perseus and Andromeda Fountain and the nearby Baroque church of Great Witley.

Witley Court was damaged in a fire in 1937 but restoration work has made new rooms available to view. Please note disabled access is limited as entry to the house is via steps only. Sezincote is the private home of Mr and Mrs Edward Peake. This stunningly pretty Indian Gothic Mughal Style house built in 1810 by Charles Cockerell with assistance from the painter Thomas Daniell and landscape designer Humphrey Repton. The romantic water garden has pools, waterfalls and a grotto. The house was the inspiration for the Brighton Pavilion!
