The Laurence Harbottle Gift extends the Whitworth's existing holdings of the work of Brabazon, Cox and Holland, which are already quite extensive. Watercolours and drawings by Brabazon are numerous; they mostly consist of studies of landscapes and buildings observed in the course of his wanderings in Europe and further afield. The Whitworth has a substantial collection of them, to which these two drawings are a most welcome addition.

Provenance

Laurence Harbottle.
