A collection of nearly 200 specimens of antique cutlery, mostly 17th and 18th century.

From London, Sheffield, Birmingham ( the London stamp, a dagger, may be from any of these centres), and from the continent. Of special interest: London pair of knife and fork with ivory hafts of a man and a woman in the costume of 1670 and 12 ivory knife handles representing the apostles. English blades have been hafted abroad in Holland. Hafts of all possible materials - ivory, amber, wood, tortoiseshell, porcelain, gold and silver, pique and enamel.
