The gilding and painting depict a basket of flowers on a marble shelf, which may have been the work of William Billingsley, although opinion is divided on this attribution. The Pinxton Porcelain Factory was established in 1796 by John Coke and William Billingsley.

Provenance

In the Coke family; bequest of Barbara Warburton nee Coke to children of her brother William Coke.
