The image consists of an abstract figure with long brush strokes for hair and striped patterning on legs. A large circle is drawn around the eye; 3) Song, 1960 (main illustration) consists of an abstract image of a mystical male figure with long swirly brush strokes for hair. The figure is surrounded by dark circles filled with dots and stars. The figure is holding up one circle filled with stars in his right hand; 4) Angel consists of an abstract image of a female figure made up from long straight brush strokes with a circular bush like image to the right hand side. Part of a large bequest of works by Cecil Collins distributed to various museums and galleries round the country.
