A long case clock with wooden movements after the stle of John Harrison.

The dial is unusually gilt on a black ground. The case is surmounted by ball finials with brass. The side panels are glazed giving a good view of the workings of the clock.

Provenance

Probably owned by William Hesleden (1777-1852), by descent to Bryan Hesleden; Arthur Poole; Herbert Ellwood; PW Whyte.
