The body is engraved with the Royal Arms, racehorse, jockey and inscription reading 'This Plate run for at York by Six Years old horses'.

The cover is engraved with the cypher of Queen Anne. The cup is in a fitted leather case, H: 17.8cm.

Provenance

Presented to Mr Graeme, owner of the winning horse Champion in the 1713 York races and hence by descent.
