This collectionof 794 pieces of Wedgwood is the result of forty years of ceramic collecting.

It includes some notable rarities but also displays an excellent representation of the range of useful and ornamental wares made by the Wedgwood firm in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. It also includes some early pieces representative of the type of wares which were in production when Josiah Wedgwood began his potting career as an apprentice to his brother Thomas in 1744.

Provenance

Mrs Brixie Jarvis, Hants.
