Villanovan type helmet with pointed crown and ogee crest.

Made of hammered sheet-metal in 2 parts, joined by folding one edge over the other but rivetted together at the forehead and nape. Early Iron Age, probably imported from the Danube region.

Provenance

Believed to have been found at Vulci, Italy.
