The panel shows the Madonna supporting the Child, who is resting on a cloth-draped ledge. The Child reclines to the right and touches His mother's breast. Behind the half-length figure of the Madonna we can see glimpses of landscape beyond a crimson-curtained window. The panel is in an excellent state of preservation and is displayed in a finely carved Renaissance frame.
