Wadham Pigott lived in Weston-Super-Mare and was appointed full-time curate-in-charge of the parish of Weston in 1790.

During his lifetime, Wadham oversaw the emergence of Weston-super-Mare from a small fishing village to a bathing resort of growing popularity. With his brother John he arranged a number of Enclosure Acts which proved essential in allowing the town to grow.
