One panel has the saints Nicholas of Bari, James of Tarentaise?, Germanus of Paris on the recto and Saint Lawrence, Sebald of Nuremberg, with an Angel with a scroll on the verso.

The other panel has saints Catherine of Alexandria, Barbara, Anthony Abbott on the recto (main illustration) and saints Catherine of Siena, Ursula, Dominic on the verso. In 1955, Mr Lycett Green presented his collection of 137 pictures to the City of York Art Gallery through the Art Fund. In 1957 he made a further gift to the Gallery, also through the Fund, of 6 paintings including this one. One panel was stolen from the collection in 1979.
