Cup, inscribed 'John Rishworth, 1794' connected with the annual ceremony of the election of the Constable of Wakefield, in which the Constable drank ale from a cup inscribed with his name and year of office, and then broke the cup.
Preserved by members of the Rishworth family. Wakefield Art Gallery is currently closed and will open in 2011 as The Hepworth Wakefield.
