Part of a collection of 297 works distributed to 11 public collections including 3 in Liverpool. A connoisseur and patron of the arts on Merseyside, and a generous supporter of the Art Fund, George Paimer Holt (1910-1990) played an influential role in the management of the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool and was a Trustee of the National Museums and Galleries on Merseyside at the end of his life.
