The panels are decorated with nude female figures, putti, masks, clusters of fruit, flowers, and ribbons. It joins a collection rich in French nineteenth century applied art. There is another Barhedienne mirror which might still be found in England. This work was acquired with assistance from the Wolfson Foundation.
