A pair of ormolu perfume burners by Matthew Boulton

Very rare despite have been made in Birmingham.

The central vase shaped burner is decorated with three ideal busts with wings, leading down to the stems, at the bottom of which are birds claws as feet.

Provenance

Not known, but the pair has been in France since the early nineteenth century.
