Early Medieval Silver Disc Brooch by Unknown Artist

Discovered by a metal detectorist in Wilden, Bedfordshire, this brooch is an example of the rare but distinctive Trewhiddle style, a form of high-class jewellery distinguished by triangular leaf decorations and elaborate animal designs featuring scrolling ears and detailed muzzles.
