Landscape, Cornwall (Quarry) by Sir Cedric Morris

Possibly influenced by Cedric Morris’s knowledge of the Post-Impressionist and modernist painters who frequented his studio, this early example of naive or ‘innocent eye’ painting depicts Penlee Quarry on the outskirts of Newlyn, near Penzance.
