Join Annemarie Bilclough, Curator of Illustration at the V&A, as she explores Beatrix Potter’s fascination with mushrooms, describing her experiences as a scientist studying and experimenting with their germination, as well as her interest in them in relation to folklore and storytelling.

Annemarie Bilclough is the Frederick Warne Curator of Illustration at the V&A and was previously a prints curator. During 25 years at the V&A, she has worked on many displays on prints and drawings and several large exhibitions, including Beatrix Potter: Drawn to Nature (2022), Alice: Curiouser and Curiouser (2021) and Winnie-the-Pooh: Exploring a Classic (2017).
