For the first time since it was made almost 1,000 years ago the Bayeux Tapestry is returning to England, bringing with it the story that changed the country forever: the Norman invasion of 1066. Bayeux comes to Exeter as part of the nationwide programme to mark the loan of the tapestry to the British Museum.

This free digital trail has been designed by RAMM’s Museum Reps: Olivia Madden, Alex Lake, Conan Essen and Harry Gibbs. It takes you around RAMM’s galleries, so spot the objects which relate to the Normans in Exeter or to help interpret the tapestry.

The trail has 12 stops and should take around 1 hour.
