There is a thousand years of history, artistry and architecture in Alstonefield's parish church - the oldest, largest and finest building in the village and the tour by Jon Lane will help identify key features. The local community has recently gathered more about its life and history, then worked with local artist, Sue Prince to make wonderful paintings on three panels which will be on display. Sue will be on hand to explain her painting technique to the group.

In the afternoon the visit will continue to the costume museum where Notty Hornblower, a well-known expert on the history of costume and an expert valuer for Hansons, the auctioneers will welcome the group to her collection of over 1000 items and give a talk and tour of costume through the ages.

The tour will end at approx 3.30pm when afternoon tea is available if pre-ordered,

This event has been organised by the Derbyshire Fundraising Committee Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
