Lord's Sold Out

Visit | Marylebone Cricket Club

Thursday 17 August 2017 - 18:30 until 20:30

A private visit to one of the most famous sporting venues in the world. The Curator, Adam Chadwick, will welcome guests before a tour of the Members’ Pavilion, which, as well as providing an idyllic setting for watching cricket, houses a fine collection of historic and contemporary cricketing paintings. We will also visit the award-winning, futuristic Media Centre, the world’s first all-aluminium and semi-monocoque building. With kind permission of the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), we conclude by enjoying drinks in the Museum, the rich contents of which include the tiny and precious Ashes urn, bequeathed to MCC in 1927.

Please note: It is possible a small part of the tour will not be accessible for a guest with mobility problems.

This event has been organised by the London Events Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
