Taking the waters in Bath

Visit and Talk | Guildhall

This visit to Bath will be divided into two locations the morning at the Guildhall and the after lunch Roman Baths. The morning will start with two talks, an introductory talk on the Romans by Susan Fox, the Roman Baths Collections Manager followed by a talk on post-Roman history of the spa by Stephen Clews, Roman Baths Manager. This will be followed by an opportunity to view and handle Roman and later objects with Susan Fox. A sandwich lunch at the Guildhall before the group walks the 3-5 mins to the Roman Baths for a behind the scenes tour including the tunnel network. The group will be accompanied by Susan Fox, Collections Manager and Stephen Clews, the Roman Baths Manager.

This event has been organised by the Wiltshire Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
