Learn the full journey of plasterwork and take home your very own artwork from this artist-led workshop.
Plasterwork is a traditional craft that has flourished in Egypt, Syria, and Morocco for centuries. It is one of the oldest decorative arts, historically used in architecture for making windows and covering walls with intricate geometric, biomorphic, and calligraphic designs.
Leighton House is participating in London Craft Week 2026 with this hands-on workshop, artist-led workshop. Participants will experience the full journey of plasterwork: from mixing and pouring plaster to carving and transferring designs, creating their own unique decorative piece. By the end, everyone will leave with a beautiful artwork made with their own hands, ready to take home.
