The Cartoon Museum champions cartoon and comic art, highlighting its value to culture and society.
The museum relaunched in 2019 with new exhibition spaces inspired by the language of cartoons and comics.
It exhibits the very finest examples of British cartoons, caricature, and comic art, with the aim of making the creativity of animation – both past and present – accessible to all.
The collection ranges from 18th-century prints to rare and original artwork on loan from the Beano, the Dandy, and Topper, and the museum supports new work by cartoonists and comics artists. Gillray, Giles and Steve Bell are among the many artists whose work is on display.
