Allchurch reinterprets compositions by Peter Bruegel the Elder, Utagawa Hiroshige, Giovanni Battista Piranesi and Adolphe Valette using digital collage.

Fusing historical and contemporary narratives, the artist recreates Old Master paintings from photographs of modern urban environments. On display in Nottingham are Tokyo Story and Tokaido Road, which pay homage to the 19th-century Japanese printmaker Hiroshige. They are shown alongside his original works.

Other pieces in the exhibition are based on Piranesi's etchings of imaginary prisons from the 18th-century and the designs of neo-classical architect Sir John Soane.
