Sands Costume and Film Studios SOLD OUT

Visit | Sands Costume and Film Studios

Tuesday 21 October 2014 - 11:00 until 15:30

Forty years ago, Sands studio was established in an early 19th century warehouse close to the Thames at Rotherhithe, to produce films (such as Little Dorrit in 1988) and to supply services for other filmmakers. The reputation of its workshop as a quality costumier is strong, both here and abroad, and it houses costumes from hundreds of film and television productions. Facilities include a small cinema and Rotherhithe Picture Research Library. A private tour of the intriguing premises covers the history of the company and the local area.

As a listed building, unfortunately Sands Costumes and Film Studios is not fully accessible. The premises are housed on two floors and there is no lift.

The fixed lunch menu offers two choices for each of three courses and provides a meat or vegetarian option.

This event has been organised by the London Events Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
