Day Trip: St. James's Church, Warter, Kilnick Percy Hall and Pocklington Hall

After coffee and scones in St James's Church, a Yorkshire Wolds Heritage Centre, the distinguished historian Dr David Neave will talk about the fine Edwardian stained glass and monuments in the church and the now demolished mansion of Warter Priory. A visit to Kilnwick Percy Hall (now a Madhyamaka Buddhist Centre) will follow and will include a vegetarian lunch and a tour of the Hall. There will be time to explore the picturesque landscaped grounds and Norman church in the park before driving to Pocklington School. Darrell Buttery will lead a tour of the works of art in the school before a full afternoon tea served in the refectory.
