Museum of the Year 2018 finalist

The award-winning Ferens Art Gallery boasts a diverse collection, ranging from the medieval period and European Old Masters to contemporary video portraits.

The gallery is home to a broad permanent collection with important works by Canaletto, Helen Chadwick, Frans Hals, Henry Moore and Stanley Spencer. Contemporary artists featured include Ian Breakwell, Nan Goldin, David Hockney, Craigie Horsfield, Gavin Turk, Mark Wallinger and Gillian Wearing.

Ferens Art Gallery was shortlisted for Art Fund Museum of the Year in 2018.
