Boldly textured sculptures and organic forms in a major retrospective of Mrinalini Mukherjee’s 40-year career.
Discover the extraordinary work of the Indian artist Mrinalini Mukherjee, celebrated for her innovative sculptures and intuitive approach to materials. The exhibition spans her full career, bringing together textiles, ceramics, bronze, drawings, etchings and watercolours.
Mukherjee’s monumental freestanding fibre works combine abstraction and figuration, inspired by nature, modern design and Indian craft traditions, while later ceramics and bronzes maintain the same organic energy, reflecting her intuitive process. Each piece radiates presence, inviting close observation and reflection. Visitors can explore the evolution of her practice and the rich textures that define her remarkable legacy.
