See luminous religious paintings in a major exhibition of one of Spain’s greatest artists.
One of the leading painters of 17th-century Spain, Zurbarán lived and worked in Seville and painted for religious orders, royal patrons and private collectors. Known for his luminous saints, dramatic altarpieces and contemplative still lifes, Zurbarán balanced intense realism with a deep sense of spiritual feeling.
This exhibition of almost 50 paintings will span the chronological and iconographic breadth of the artist’s career, including a small group of still lifes by his son Juan.
