Learn how to stitch your own botanical terrarium embroidery in a fun and relaxed hands-on workshop at Leighton House.
With all materials and tuition provided, practising artist and embroiderer Katy Horwood will guide participants and teach them a range of stitches, embellishments techniques and blending threads.
Stitches to cover includes: Satin Stitch, French Knot, Bullion Stitch, Cast-on-Stitch, Chain Stitch and Whipped Back Stitch.
Useful Information:
All materials included: embroidery hoop and fabric, DMC threads, beads an sequins, and stitch booklet.
All abilities welcome - suitable for beginners to intermediate / advance embroiderers.
The workshop will take place in the Learning Centre at Leighton House.
The ticket price includes admission to the historic house and exhibitions, on the day during opening hours (10am - 5:30pm).
Complimentary tea & coffee. There is a cafe onsite to purchase a variety of sandwiches, bakes and drinks.
