Carve your very own bespoke wooden house number in this hands-on workshop.
Discover the art of traditional wood carving in this bespoke one-day workshop with Ulster Folk Museum’s heritage carpenter, Peter Sloan.
Under Peter’s expert guidance, you’ll learn how to select and prepare wood, understand grain direction, and master the essential tools of the trade, from sharpening chisels and gouges to carving straights, curves, and junctions.
By the end of the day, you’ll carve your very own bespoke wooden house number to take home. The workshop includes lunch, with plenty of time to practise and refine your technique in this timeless craft.
