The Wilder Garden, whether large or small, is a wildlife, nature-friendly, and sustainable space, all about life.
Wilder Doddington like to think of gardens as part of a bigger picture, a piece in the wilder landscape jigsaw, where there is room for both people and nature.
Whether you call it a wildlife garden, a nature-friendly garden or a sustainable garden, the Wilder Garden, no matter how big or small, is about life.
There are many ways in which your gardens can be made more environmentally friendly, from reducing your reliance on hard materials and allowing room for more plants, to thinking in terms of 'habitat' and making simple adjustments to how you look after them.
Doddington's Wilder Garden Workshop will consider some of the elements that will help to make your garden as attractive to wildlife as possible, while also making it a place that is both resilient (to future changes) and, importantly, a place for you to enjoy.
The workshop will consider ways of minimising the garden's carbon impact, how to use materials efficiently and plants effectively and look at the creation of habitat niches and structures designed to maximise biodiversity.
Our gardens may be small, but together, they have the potential to be the biggest nature reserve in the land!
