Located in the heart of Lymington market town, St Barbe explores the history of the area and hosts an active temporary exhibitions programme in its two gallery spaces.

The museum's collection is largely social history with a wealth of photographs and ephemera reflecting life in the coastal strip to the south of the New Forest. It also hosts high quality art exhibitions, with loans from national and regional collections.
