RIBA Library Drawings and Archives Collections

London
Free to all

The RIBA's British Architectural Library is, in effect, the national collection for architecture, other parts of which are at RIBA in Portland Place.

The materials housed at the V&A include architectural drawings, written documents, models, drawing instruments, portraits, medals, furniture and objects associated with architects.

These archives are open to the public as a source for research, but access is by pre-booked appointment only. See the website for further details.

The archives are located next to The V&A + RIBA Architecture Gallery, a permanent exhibition encompassing artefacts that span 2,500 years of architecture from across the world.
