Museum of Classical Archaeology is temporarily closed until further notice. Please check the venue's website for the latest details.

The Museum of Classical Archaeology is one of the few surviving collections of plaster casts of Greek and Roman sculpture in the world.

The collection of about 450 casts is open to the public and housed in a purpose-built Cast Gallery on the first floor of the Classics Faculty. Nearly all the well-known (and not so well-known) works from the Classical world can be seen together under one roof.

Opening times

Temporarily closed

We are very sad to announce that the Museum of Classical Archaeology closed at 5pm Tuesday 17 March 2020 until further notice. In light of the developing situation with the spread of COVID-19 and the announcements made by the government on 16 March, we have made the difficult decision to close the Cast Gallery in order to protect the health and wellbeing of our staff, volunteers and visitors. All public events are cancelled or postponed, and bookings for our free education service are on hold until further notice.
