Springtime Cordage and String Making with Julie Rignell is temporarily closed until further notice. Please check the venue's website for the latest details.
Learn to make fabulous coloured and textured cordage from spring bulb foliage, including daffodils, harvested locally. An ancient way of processing plant fibre; we will cover how to dry and prepare fibres as well as learning two cordage making techniques. In the afternoon you can begin to explore how cordage can be used in basketry and other craft disciplines. Making your own string is very rewarding and can be addictive, so be warned!
