Well known for his paintings of Cookham and the murals of the Sandham Memorial Chapel in Burghclere commemorating the First World War, Stanley Spencer's turbulent life can be traced through his figure paintings. This lecture is by Carolyn Leder, an adviser to the Stanley Spencer Gallery who has curated exhibitions and written widely on Spencer including a book on his Scrapbook paintings.

This event has been organised by the Hampshire Fundraising Committee Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
