Art Nouveau at the Sainsbury Centre, Norwich & Voewood House, Holt
Visit | Sainsbury Centre, Norwich & Voewood House, Holt
Wednesday 10 September 2014 - 08:30 until 18:30
A guided tour of the Sense and Sensuality exhibition takes place in the morning. This exhibition explores the drama and spectacle of early 20th century life. Time permitting you may also view the other current exhibitions and the renowned permanent collection. Paul Greenhaulgh, Director of the Sainsbury Centre (UEA), will join us for lunch at the Centre before boarding the coach for the trip to Voewood House, near Holt. The house built in the early 20th century Arts and Crafts
style was described by Pevsner as ‘violently idiosyncratic…reminiscent of Gaudi’. It has been restored over six years by the owner, Simon Finch, to express his love of architecture, art and books.
Transport: coach from Milton Park and Ride, departing at 8:30 am or pick up in Ely at 9.05 am Barton Road car park; return from Voewood at approximately 4:30 pm.
This event has been organised by the Cambridgeshire Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
