Visit: 'Bloomsbury in Sussex', Charleston and Berwick Church

This place of wonder and inspiration, a 17th-century house near Lewes, transformed from 1916 onwards by the two Bloomsbury artists, Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant, will be revealed in this private tour. These artists took painting beyond the canvas. They decorated walls, doors and furniture in their unique style. They also created a painters' garden, filled with sculptures and mosaics. The flowers reflect their love of vibrant colour and appear in their Still Life images. After lunch (not included, but which can be enjoyed at The Cricketers' Arms in Berwick village) it is a short walk to Berwick Church for a further talk on the Bloomsbury Group and a chance to see their murals and decorations in the Church.

A Cream Tea is included at nearby Middle Farm.
