This is an early example of an interactive sculpture with two mobile parts.
Moss is also known as a painter but turned to 3 dimensional work after studying architecture in Cornwall during the Second World War. Moss mainly worked in Paris but operated in the same sphere as Ben Nicholson and Barbara Hepworth.
