It offered an informal setting for learning and working with internationally recognised photographers. The photographs include 1) approximately 100 exhibition quality prints by Paul Hill; 2) approximatey 200 presentation photographs by reknown artists including Paul Strand; 3) works by 19th and 20th century photographers including PH Emerson, Bill Brandt, Paul Strand and Edward Weston; 4) informal portraits by Paul Hill and others documenting the Photographers' Place lectures and workshops.
