Lady James's Folly is now called Severndroog Castle and stands in Castlewood Park, Shooters Hill above Woolwich.
It was built as a tribute to Sir William James's achievements against pirates in the Indian Ocean, and in particular for capturing Severndroog on the Malabar coast.
