This view of Hoy Sound was painted from the artist's house on Innertoon, west of Stromness and overlooking the Hoy Hills and the Pentland Firth.
She described herself as a 'romantic realistÂ’ and this work is one of a series of large-scale oils depicting the Orkneys.
