May Morris was one of the most important figures of the Arts and Crafts movement. A successful designer of wallpaper, jewellery and woven textiles, she was most influential as a pioneer of art embroidery – her work and expertise were in demand across the world. But her achievements have for too long been overshadowed by her more famous father, William Morris.

We think it’s time May was recognised for her own talents. That’s why we’re asking for your help in raising £15,000 to create May Morris: Art & Life, a major new exhibition of May’s work. If our campaign is successful we can bring together rarely seen embroideries, costumes, jewellery, works on paper and personal items from collections across the country – and display them side by side for the first time.

And the great news is that we only need to raise two-thirds of our total. If we successfully raise £10,000 we will unlock a further £5,000 pledged by a private donor through Art Fund, enabling us to carry out vital conservation work on fragile objects included in the exhibition.

Hi Beth,

Thanks for getting in touch. The tote bag and afternoon tea vouchers should arrive next week. Kate @ArtFund

No sign of my Tote bag either. I had hoped it would be here for my wife's birthday but that was last week. Can I at least give her an idea when she might receive it?

29 October 2017 - 11:36

Yes, can we have an update on whether rewards have now been dispatched? I have not yet received anything and I would like to plan a date to visit the exhibition and to have afternoon tea. Thank you.

Hi Karen and John, the totes were dispatched last Friday so should start arriving today and tomorrow. Thanks for your patience. Kate @ArtFund
