With a National Art Pass you get
The more you see, the more we do.
The National Art Pass lets you enjoy free entry to hundreds of museums, galleries and historic places across the UK, while raising money to support them.
Housed in the former All Saints Church, this museum focuses on the rich natural history of north-east Essex.
Visitors to this family friendly museum can discover local wildlife, learn about the mammoths that used to roam the area and find out more about biodiversity and climate change. The collections are centered on Britain in general, and north-east Essex in particular, with displays exploring the natural landscape, flora, and fauna of East Anglia and the Colchester area.
The interior of the former gothic church has been adapted to tell the history of the local natural environment from the Ice Age to the present day. Special exhibits explore the ecological challenges facing the world today and tell the story of the 1884 Colchester Earthquake, the most damaging earthquake to hit the UK since 1580. Other highlights include a garden trail and a stag beetle exhibition.
